Good morning all. It's crunch time. Sharyl's got a honey do list a mile long. Today's get together will be a welcomed break. :B:B Besides, we are bringing along a surprise for some. :B:W:B:W:?
Steve, here was my to do list for today. Cleaned bedroom, bathroom, and living room. Did the laundry. Picked up the leaved in the back yard, then cut the grass (hopefully for the last time). Then I went and decided to put up the Christmas lights. Oh, put the lawn mower away, and checked out the trusty snow blower. It purrs like a kitten! Finally, got cleaned up and took mom out to dinner with my sister, bil, and the niece and nephew. HMMMM, I love Italian! Time to rest and have a nice hot cup of tea!!! :B
Tomorrow I am going to haul all the indoor Christmas decorations down from the attic. By then my back should be good and sore. Ugh.
Dan & Steve when you guys get done.....I've got a list that I'm sure Fred would share. :B

We were discussing football rumors today at our Turkey Dinner and guess what came up?
We heard that "the Bill Cowher" may coach the Browns next year!!

I can't say there is any rhyme to the reason. I just know that I don't call til exactly 30 days prior to my departure date & voila they have sites. We have friends who made a deposit 2 years ago and had to cancel & they have carried their reservation over each year only to have to cancel & move it to the next year. Go figure.

We have stayed at MB Travel Park and walked thru Apache CG. I would advise you to stay at MBTP. Apache is very outdated.
However, I can give you some good advice about MB Travel Park. They take reservations from regulars who come every year without a deposit for their next year. Then approx. 30 days prior to arrival if no deposit has been made MBTP will cancel those reservations & open them up to the folks waiting. We have never had a problem calling roughly 30 days prior to when we want to arrive. There are always sites available. I find it hard to believe that they are booked solid with the way gas prices were earlier in the year. Don't give up. I can almost guarantee you will get a site for the week you want. We are going down the week after the 4th in '09 and I will wait & make reservations in June '09.

We are in week 46 of 52. Then onto Jan, Feb & Mar. 3 mos left of cold.
Then comes April 1 and it will be getting warmer and time for
CAMPING !!!
So never fail the end is near. :B

Thanks for the info. I figured it wouldn't be easy. I already have my P & S endorsement. I also have my airbrakes. I figured whoever I worked ofr would have be registered for the random drug & alchol tests. But I was sure about driving locally with out of state CDL's. I'm guessing OTR driver's have a regular home address instead of the forwarding address'.
Thanks. I'll check some of this info out with ODOT and BMV.

CDL's and workkamping
I am currently a bus driver with my class B CDL's. Could anyone help me with info regarding maintaing their CDL's while traveling? I'm hoping to use mine while workkamping.
In fact has anyone worked for a local school district while maybe their spouse is doing the workkamping thing to give them a free site?
Any and all suggestion about this would be great. We have about 7 years till retirement but I figure it can't be too soon.

Hey Dreamer just say your thread. My Dh & I went to Vegas for my 40th B Day a few years back and we went on The Hover Dam Tour. This day trip included a side trip to Ethel M Chocolate Factory. While at the chocolate facotry there is a cactus garden. Beautiful! It was the best tour!! The dam is so dam impressive. And if I remember correctly they were building a new bridge across that would link NV & AZ.
I highly recommend this tour and if I remember correctly it was not that expensive but then again that was a few years ago. :W
